How It Works

We’ll design and build a set tailored to your personal style, creating a space at your special event in which guests can play, move around, and interact with each other in front of the camera. With a shutter remote, guests can either take their own pictures or elect to have our staff capture the magic. Each shot can be printed on-demand and on-site, with a frame-ready, high-quality 4” x 6” souvenir to show off great times in sharp detail and brilliant color. A Photomaton both is a fun facilitator that fosters dynamic moments you and your guests will never forget!

The Story

Photomaton was born in August of 2009.  Ann was planning an art show with two friends and needed a new project to display.  Having recently moved back from Los Angeles, she wanted to do something very “St. Louis” for the show.  She decided to take pictures of her friend H. Lindsy Doe dressed as the one and only, STL born,  Josephine Baker.  The idea was to show “Josephine” in her dressing room with the St. Louis cityscape as the stage.  These are a few of the pictures from that shoot taken on the rooftop of the Art Lofts downtown.

These pictures were displayed next to the handmade dressing room set for patrons of the show to interact with the art and photograph themselves doing so. It was SO much fun we had to share the experience.  Here are the results of the first Photomaton fauxto-booth ever…
